In order to use GRID resources the user should follow some preliminary operation:

1. Each user to access the Grid must have a digital certificate. This can be created by following this guide:

Remember to select right certificate type during the creation process

2. Convert the certificate in PEM format:
– from your browser save your certificate in PKCS12 format
– login on user interface and create a directory “.globus”
– copy your certificate in the directory “.globus”
– type this command:
openssl pkcs12 -nocerts -in yourcertificate.p12 -out userkey.pem
openssl pkcs12 -clcerts -nokeys -in yourcertificate.p12 -out usercert.pem
chmod 400 userkey.pem
chmod 644 usercert.pem

3. Each user should belong to a Virtual Organization (VO). At the present the VO supported by our site are:

ARGO
EUMED
EUCHINA
BIOMED
AGINFRA
ENMR
INFNGRID
DECIDE
BELLE2
MICE
